It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new.
But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful.
There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.

Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read."

Before we went to the park, where we sat for hours just enjoying cool breezes in the shade with Pup, we had a few things to do to prepare for visitors coming !!
Yippeee... relatives are coming .. they will stay in a nice hotel nearby , we will eat together and shop and walk and talk together for about 10 days and it will be just so very nice to see them.
I had a mini-shopping spree online , for things that will be lovingly carried onto planes, to be brought to us way down here at the Bottom of the World.

Then before we knew it, it was afternoon and time to go out into the big noisy world.
We saw where an apartment has been for sale for ages, has been sold and is being renovated.
I love this sort of renovation. The building is an old French building.. it is the top floor, so they also have the rooftop as their terrace/garden.
There were windows with no glass, with a big pipe coming out and a big dumpster at the bottom. Gut that old dirty apartment, strip it clean, sand, paint, repair, wire, plumb and in about 3-6 months, it will be a glorious new home.
Made me go all nostalgic ..... for about a minute.
Next time I move, I am hoping the sellers will be the ones who just did the big reno and we get to just move in and relax.
I know, nice dream.

We have to remember to take a blanket to the park and a little picnic perhaps and Pup can loll and we can too. And read ..

The sun has pretty much cooked the plants on the balconies but they seem to be trying to survive and I know cooler weather will bring them back more. My Jade plants have become shrubs, the Geraniums hang over the balcony railings and my Spider Plants have babies with babies .. they are taking over the building.

Tomorrow... we might be venturing out of the neighborhood .. I am beginning to like being a hermit too much.
